I live in Beckenham and have been painting for over 30 years, mainly using watercolour but also acrylic, inks and mixed media. I am a member of the Bromley Art Society and have exhibited locally and sold to a variety of clients.
I have held a successful exhibition at Ripley Arts Centre, using different forms of metallic decoration such as gold and silver leaf, acrylics and metallic paints.
In the past I have experimented with using sand and other natural materials to add texture to landscape paintings, and currently I am enjoying using shiny and raised finishes as well as collage to add an extra dimension to my work. I spend a lot of time in Cornwall and plan to explore unusual ways of painting the many beautiful sea views.
I also use shells and stones from Cornish beaches to make box frame pictures with an enormous variety of subjects. These can be seen under the name KatArtDesigns on Facebook.
