I am primarily a painter, focusing on colour manipulation. I use oil and acrylic paints in my works, generally painting landscapes from places I’ve visited and plants and flowers found in local parks. I also have a series of portraits of ‘Great Losses’ (famous people that are no longer with us) that I return to when I fancy the challenge! At the start of lockdown I began to explore dry monoprinting to produce black and white images of local stations and landmarks. To create these I work from photographs that I have taken, sometimes collaging bits from different photos together before using them for the monoprint.
